Real Estate and Neighbourhood:

Dovercourt Park’s boundaries are Dufferin St. to the west, Ossington St. to the east, the CPR rail line route to the north and Bloor St. to the south. To get a better sense of the boundaries click on the Map. This area has a great variety of houseing stock. Everything from single family homes to converted homes into anywhere from 2 – 8 units in some homes. To the north so of the industrial lots have been converted to lofts.

Parks and Recreation:

Dovercourt Park itself is on Bartlett Avenue just north of Bloor. Many locals have gatherines in this very social park. It’s amenities are a firepit, a wading pool and a few playgrounds.

Just to the east of Dovercourt Park is the Wallace Emerson Community Centre located on Dufferin, just south of Dupont, it has an indoor pool, outdoor skating rink, soccer pitch and an outdoor skateboard / BMX park. The community centre runs a variety of programming for the young and old in the community, from after school clubs for the younger and card game events such as bridge and brisk for seniors.

Another beautiful and vibrant park is Dufferin Grove park just south of Bloor and Dufferin, opposite the Dufferin Mall, this park hosts a weekly Organic Farmer's Market throughout the year.  The park boasts bake ovens which are used by the community to bake with local produce, an outdoor skating rink, soccer pitch, baseball, basketball areas, playgrounds, picnic tables and campfire capabilities etc etc.

There is also a  fantastic and newly upgraded Public City Library also at Bloor and Gladstone, just east of Dufferin and Bloor.




The Bloor – Danforth Subway Line runs east west and visa versa along Bloor St W.

Bus transit operates north and south from both Dufferin and Ossington subway stations and East-West along Dupont.


Shopping and Restaurants:


Bloorcourt Village has a variety of stores, boutique to little mom and pop stores to music and a multitude of restaurants, from Italian to Ethiopian. Just to the west also is Bloordale Village. Dufferin Mall is within walking distance and the mall itself  has been extensively upgraded to cater to the new demographics moving into the neighbourhoods nearby.
